Reinforcing its commitment to making banking services more accessible and convenient for members of the public, Baiduri Bank yesterday officially opened its new branch at Amber Hills while introducing the Home Loan Centre as a key feature of the branch.

The opening was officiated by Managing Director of Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) and Chairman of Pillar 3 of the National Financial Literacy Council (NFLC) Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu, in the presence of representatives from BDCB management and staff, real estate agents and developers, as well as neighbouring merchants.

The Amber Hills branch reflects the approach of the bank to building a purposeful and accessible physical network, bringing services closer to customers through locations that are convenient and well connected.

Every Baiduri Bank branch is designed with intent, with the Amber Hills location centred around supporting homeownership journeys through its integrated Home Loan Centre.

The Home Loan Centre serves as a dedicated space where customers can receive structured guidance from mortgage consultants, covering key considerations such as affordability, financing structures, and long-term financial planning.

It represents an extension of the Financial Wellness Centre of the bank, moving beyond financial awareness to support real-life outcomes.

Through this setup, customers are able to explore different aspects of the homeownership journey in one place, from property ideas and developments to financing options, creating a more connected and seamless experience. By bringing together advisory, tools, and insights, the bank aims to support customers in making sustainable financial decisions that serve them well over the long term.

The initiative also underscores the role of Baiduri Bank in supporting national financial literacy efforts, in line with the agenda of BDCB and the NFLC to translate financial knowledge into practical action.

The Home Loan Centre incorporates elements aligned with the Baiduri Greenprint, particularly under its Planet pillar, by encouraging consideration of sustainable home features such as energy-efficient solutions and solar integration as part of the decision-making process.

Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank Ti Eng Hui said Amber Hills is a vibrant commercial hub, noting it is important for the bank to be present in places where customers are building their futures.

He stated that the branch is designed to be accessible and relevant to everyday needs. He added that a key feature of the branch is the Home Loan Centre, which builds on the efforts of the Financial Wellness Centre by taking the next step to help customers move from understanding to action.

By bringing together financing guidance with broader homeownership considerations, the bank aims to support customers in approaching this significant milestone in a more practical and connected way.

He also expressed that a home is often one of the most important milestones in a person’s life, representing stability, responsibility, and a long-term commitment to the future. He noted that the role of the bank is to support that journey in a way that is practical, responsible, and sustainable.

The launch of the Amber Hills branch marks a continued step in the evolution of Baiduri Bank towards a more advisory-led, customer-centric model, connecting access, guidance, and aspiration within a single environment.

In conjunction with the launch, Baiduri Bank is offering promotional packages on its Home Ownership Loan and Residential Property Investment Loan, with effective interest rates as low as four per cent and subsidies of up to BND20,000.

Customers can also enjoy a five per cent cash rebate when they accumulate a minimum spend of BND30 using Baiduri Bank Cards at participating merchants in Amber Hills, valid from June 10 to July 9, 2026. – James Kon
