Brunei records 379 new cases (06.06.2022)

Brunei Darussalam recorded 379 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing the national tally of confirmed cases to 150,781.

 

Of this, 373 cases were detected through antigen rapid tests (ARTs), and six from 292 RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours.

 

No COVID-19 fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours.

 

The latest COVID updates were shared by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during the daily press conference on Monday.

 

The minister said, “No cases are reported in Category 5, requiring treatment at the intensive care unit while there are two cases in Category 4, requiring respiratory assistance and are under close monitoring.”

 

Two-hundred and sixteen cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 148,285.

 

Meanwhile, there are 2,273 active cases, with 12 receiving treatment in hospitals and 2,261 undergoing self-isolation.

 

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin was also present.
