Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) will once again participate in the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition 2022 (Brunei MYCE 2022) with a range of activities in support of Energy Week, one of the five themes featured during the five-week event.

A highlight of BIBD’s participation in Energy Week is the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Clinic where local micro enterprises and start-ups will learn more about BIBD’s SME360 platform; a banking solution that complements the needs of businesses, especially SMEs, which includes a dedicated relationship management team, financial solutions and digital payments.

Also showcased are BizNet, the bank’s digital business solutions as well as cashless payment methods such as BIBD QuickPay.

BIBD has always been committed to the development of local MSMEs and have complemented national efforts by boosting its SME-related initiatives and programmes by empowering them with robust and comprehensive digital business solutions.

Products such as BIBD BizNet, the MSME Current Account and BIBD QuickyPay have helped fill gaps and improve the operations of MSMEs, in line with the bank’s objectives to serve the needs of all types of MSMEs.

Established in 2016, and as part of BIBD’s commitment to accelerate SME development by addressing some common challenges, SME360 focusses on providing holistic and comprehensive assistance to small businesses through an experienced and dedicated relationship management team that acts as a trusted partner in their growth – improving access to finance and resources, providing relevant advice and guidance in digitising their business.

Members of the public, particularly micro and small business owners, are invited to visit BIBD’s booth at Brunei MYCE 2022 today until Friday to find out more about how BIBD can help their businesses grow.

Energy Week will culminate with the SME360 Series, a six-month-long series of forums covering 10 different sectors that have been impacted by the pandemic.

The forums, which have previously been virtual owing to the local COVID-19 situation, is convening physically for the first time. This week’s SME360 Series will focus on the energy sector and brings together speakers representing key players in the local energy sector.

The forum will take place at the Musyawarah Hall on Friday and is jointly organised by BIBD and Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) and for Energy Week, endorsed and supported by the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam under the Department of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The public interested in joining the forum may register for free at https://tinyurl.com/sme360-energy.

Organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Tourism Development Department, Brunei MYCE 2022 invites experts and business leaders from Brunei Darussalam and overseas to address various concerns pertaining to the five fields: Islamic, digital technology, energy, climate change and economy.

As one of the main sponsors of Brunei MYCE 2022, BIBD is involved in supporting the five-week event featuring thematic exhibitions, conferences and over 100 speakers to promote knowledge sharing and business activities in various sectors.
