On Thursday, the number of cases in Category 4 which require oxygen assistance has dropped to five, compared to Wednesday while four Category 5 cases remain, requiring treatment at the intensive care unit.
The latest COVID-19 situation was shared by the Ministry of Health in the daily statement on COVID-19 new norm.
Meanwhile, no COVID fatalities have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
The COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Brunei Darussalam continues to increase where 73.5 per cent of the country’s citizens and residents have received the third dose vaccination, while 3.6 per cent the fourth dose. A total of 76.3 per cent of second dose vaccinations were administered to children aged five to 11 years old.
However, only 50.6 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 years old have received the third dose vaccination.
A total of 1253 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 167,636.
