A man was hit with a BND300 fine by the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) after he was caught on CCTV disposing trash in a public area.
According to the department, the man was issued a fine on Wednesday after CCTV recorded him tossing trash from a vehicle.
The fine was issued under Section 12(1) Chapter 30 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act.
The man is given seven days to settle the fine.
Failure to do so will result in the case being brought to court, and if found guilty, a further fine of no less than BND1,000 and no more than BND3,000 will be handed.
JASTRe reminded the public and companies to ensure the cleanliness of the surrounding environment is maintained.
